Michael is Principal of MCa (Michael Connell & Associates – economic consultants) and an Associate of TRC Tourism.
An economist, specialising in: the analysis of regions and cities; industry futures, economic impact assessments; and feasibility studies and business cases for infrastructure projects.
MCa tourism projects in Australia and New Zealand, also including assessments of: mountain bike and cycling trails; accommodation (ranging from 5 star hotels to camping grounds); and other tourist infrastructure.
Michael has also completed major projects covering: agribusiness development; education and training; sports and recreation facilities; the energy sector; development of cities and precincts; and the options for the regeneration of waterfront tourism areas.
