‘Building Better Regions Fund Infrastructure Projects’

TRC was pleased to hear the recent announcement of a $600,000 grant for the Wimmera River Discovery Trail under the ‘Building Better Regions Fund Infrastructure Projects’. This project will establish a 61 km multi-use walking and cycling trail along the Wimmera River corridor between Dimboola and Jeparit/Lake Hindmarsh in Victoria. The Feasibility Study and Management Plan for the Hindmarsh Trail was developed by TRC for Hindmarsh Shire Council. TRC also wrote the MTB Master Plan for Kentish Council so was also very excited to see the region benefit from this work with the Kentish Council successful in receiving an $850,000 grant for the Wild Mersey Mountain Bike Trails. This project will provide over 100 kilometres of world class mountain bike trails through the Mersey region of Tasmania.
