Khuvsgul Lake is already the site of considerable tourism activity; TRC’s component of the project, funded by the Asian Development Bank, aims to strengthen and pursue tourism that is sustainable in terms of the environment, community, culture and economics. As part of the first stage of the project greenhouse training was conducted by a specialist from the Mongolian Women Farmers Association. Participants learned how to construct and plant a greenhouse, and the training received a very positive response from participants. Training in eco-tourism and eco-tourism certification will also be delivered in the next stage of the project.
