Project Description

The remote Kimberley coast in Western Australia, which has extensive areas of Aboriginal land, national parks and marine reserves noted for their spectacular scenery, wildlife and Aboriginal rock art, is experiencing increasing visitation by boats and cruise vessels.

TRC worked with Traditional Owners, Aboriginal organisations, tourism operators and government agencies to manage the impacts of cruise tourism on Aboriginal cultural sites, communities and the environment and develop opportunities for Aboriginal tour operators.
