The project will examine the economic impact of mountain biking in Queenstown. TRC, assisted by QMBC volunteers, will be conducting on ground surveys on the trails in Queenstown over the coming weeks. This will supplement data collected from an online survey which generated almost 700 survey responses from visitors to Queenstown who went mountain biking while on their holiday. The outcome of the project will provide the QMBC with a robust evidence based assessment of the impact of trails in the area on the economy, to assist them in their ongoing efforts to upgrade and maintain the Queenstown mountain bike trail network.
