TRC Tourism has been contracted by the Tablelands Regional Council (TRC) in QLD to prepare a concept and feasibility for a new visitor hub and experience centre in Atherton QLD. TRC Tourism’s Associate Consultant Chris Rose has been on the ground this week understanding the visitor experiences in the region, interviewing stakeholders and undertaking important workshops to flesh out the ideas that exist – with Council and Industry. TRC Tourism is partnering with Shannon Architects and Michael Connell and Associates on this project which will develop the concept plans and test their ongoing feasibility both economically and socially. A final report is due to Council in December.
