Have Your Say: Victor Harbor Mountain Bike Strategy

The Victor Harbor Mountain Bike Strategy is being prepared to guide and plan for the future development and activation of a network of trails.

Let’s talk tracks and trails!

The Victor Harbor Mountain Bike Strategy is being prepared to guide and plan for the future development and activation of a network of trails throughout the Victor Harbor area and with connections to the broader Fleurieu area.

The alluringly natural and diverse landscape of the City of Victor Harbor is widely adored and appreciated by both residents and visitors to the region. The topography within the district varies considerably, incorporating both sweeping hills and valleys as well as flat shorelines where coastal townships adjoin.

Council recognises the significant recreational potential of our distinctive landscape and strives to identify how the topography could be developed to nurture mountain bike riders and enthusiasts. Although there are some unofficial trails being used by visitors and residents in the region, there are currently no designated mountain bike trails within the Council area.

Get involved and have your say

Community engagement and feedback is essential for developing a Mountain Bike Strategy that will best suit the desires and needs of our City.

At this stage, we are seeking information from our community and visitors through a dedicated survey that covers general community use of trails through to specific mountain biking questions. We would like to hear from those that mountain bike, those that don’t and those that would like to mountain bike in the future.

You can complete our online survey at Your Say Victor Harbor. Alternatively, hardcopy feedback forms can be obtained from Council at the Civic Centre on 1 Bay Road, Victor Harbor. Written submissions should be delivered in person to the Civic Centre or posted to PO Box 11, Victor Harbor SA 5211.

The survey will close at 5pm on Thursday, 1 April 2021.
